May 21st - Amber's Boulder, Colorado Adventure Styled Bridal Shoot was meant for a sunny, warm spring day. We were greeted with an inch or two of snow the night before this shoot happened, but we decided to be optimistic and adventurous and make it work!
Amber and I met in February about a week or two after I moved to Colorado from Illinois. We instantly connected when we met at an entrepreneurship meeting in Boulder. We grew close quickly and Amber feels like a sister that I’ve known my whole life. How cool to meet someone like that?
About a month ago, I started planning a spring, styled shoot in my mind and started executing it once Amber told me she was on board to be my model. The night before our shoot, we went back and forth deciding whether or not to cancel the shoot. Morning of, we decided to disregard the weather.
We hiked up the Shanahan Ridge trailhead and took lots of photos along the way. We had fun with the obstacle of dealing with snow. Amber, being from Florida, was such a good sport about the cold. She would take off her jacket for a quick 5 minutes before warming up and moving onto to other spots. The trail was relatively empty, so we didn’t have any distractions. The views were wonderful.
