Katie and Mike’s wedding day full of sunshine and color! These two made personalized key chains with each guest’s name on them at their seat before dinner, their flower girls tossed colorful ribbons, they danced to Allison Kraus and Still Woozy and they had the most loving guests. It was such a beautiful day. I’m grateful to have worked with an awesome photographer, Mikaela Antonelli to capture the day digitally and on film!

Payton and Brooke’s wedding day at Roxborough State Park. Just stunning!! Unposed photos will always be the most special to me. Prompting and posing are crucial skills for any photo session, especially for a wedding. And as a documentary wedding photographer, I want you to look back on your photos, be able to see connection, feel love and remember the emotions you felt.

These photos were just as fun as they look. Rilee and her family were high energy and had so many ideas for funny photos that fit their dynamic and personalities so well. Like their love for the Oregon State Beaver’s team. They brought 3 changes of outfits, accessories, changes of shoes and I was honestly impressed and happy to have so much enthusiasm!

They made the photos such a fun time for me. After Rilee and I worked together for several months this past summer, I was happy to meet her extended family and see the love they have for her. They all flew out from Oregon a few days before her birthday to celebrate and pose for these amazing photos at a park dear Denver.

After taking the group family photos, we moved onto some very on-brand headshots for Rilee to celebrate her birthday. Her self constructed Krispy Kreme donut cake was a hit. Especially to the dog (sadly not pictured) that ran past us and stole a donut off the tray.

Marc, Christina and Hashbrown! Marc and Christina’s love for each other just radiates through their photos. I’m grateful to know them as friends and to witness their kindness for others be spread endlessly anytime I spend time with them. They are such inspiring individuals and just perfect as a couple. Taking these photos for their engagement was an honor and made my heart so happy.

Aubri and Matt’s wedding at Sunset Ranch in Buena Vista was incredible!! These two were so kind and a joy to be around throughout their day. Seeing all the love and support from their family and friends made me so happy. We had perfect weather and of course the perfect sunset. The views here had so much to offer. The mountains in the distance, the open fields and skies, the happiest people- it all had me smiling the entire day.

Jim Biggers and Cathy Goodale are artists in Estes Park.

I was driving out of the Rocky Mountains with my Mom and I saw these two sitting and painting the mountainscape. I told my Mom, “I have to go talk to them and take photos!”

We pulled over and after a minute or two of anxiety about being a weirdo walking up to strangers, I spent 15 minutes chatting with them about their work and their day. These two are very talented and kind people.

Photography helps me to connect and get out of my comfort zone on a daily basis. Meeting new people invigorates and inspires me. I knew I would regret not making these photos if I didn’t convince myself to go chat with these lovely strangers and I’m so happy I did.

Southwest Colorado Road trip

My parents have always taken my sister and I on vacations every July. Our trips varied from driving to Northern Minnesota from Iliinois or driving 2,000 miles from Illinois to Glacier National Park in Montana when I was about 8 years old. Years later, we occasionally made trips out to the Rocky Mountains, but it had been at least 4 years since we were all out West again. This year, although we weren’t all together, my parents drove out to Colorado and met me in Boulder. We left for a week long trip through Southwest Colorado. This is a collection of images from this trip through the Great Sand Dunes, historic Durango, Mesa Verde National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Breckenridge. It was incredible to spend a week straight with my parents. Since I moved away from home, we hardly ever get to spend so much time together. It was so important and meaningful to me.

Go tell someone you love and appreciate them today :)
