Jim Biggers and Cathy Goodale are artists in Estes Park.

I was driving out of the Rocky Mountains with my Mom and I saw these two sitting and painting the mountainscape. I told my Mom, “I have to go talk to them and take photos!”

We pulled over and after a minute or two of anxiety about being a weirdo walking up to strangers, I spent 15 minutes chatting with them about their work and their day. These two are very talented and kind people.

Photography helps me to connect and get out of my comfort zone on a daily basis. Meeting new people invigorates and inspires me. I knew I would regret not making these photos if I didn’t convince myself to go chat with these lovely strangers and I’m so happy I did.

Marissa is the most photogenic CEO I’ve met so far!! She drove out to Cherry Creek to have these headshots taken for her business. She is doing impressive things and I admire her independence and personal approach to work. Marissa didn’t want to sacrifice her personality for professionality, but we found a middle ground that captures her bubbly self and her professional side.

Sherri contacted me letting me know that she was changing career paths, changing her home base and her life! She told me about the importance of spiritual connection in her business and her life. She told me that the theme of her spiritual work and business is “your heart is safe in my hands.” We went to clear creek in Golden where Sherri used her singing chakra bowl to drop into a meditation and it was beautiful. From there, we walked around in the creek and chatted about her business. Her peaceful energy and confidence in herself was inspiring to witness. I love being able to help empower women in their lives and in their work.

Rachel and I met at an event hosted by a new mutual friend of ours. We chatted for a little while but really got to know each other better during this shoot! The best feeling for me is when I have more energy and excitement about my job and life after a photoshoot is over. This happens a lot and it really helps me to see that I’m on the right track with my work. I love being able to help people feel confident in their own bodies and hyping them up during a photoshoot to get the most genuine images. Rachel is graduating with her Master’s degree soon, and she is such a successful woman already. She’s juggling life events as well as working full time and planning trips for the summer with her fiance.
