As an advocate for women and women’s rights, this divine feminine photoshoot felt so empowering for me too! Lex is a Reiki practitioner and nature ceremony facilitator. We took these photos at a magical, secluded spot in Denver. The light was unreal! The natural pool we found was just glowing as the sun set behind us. It was truly a dream photoshoot. We listened to the perfect playlist full of Ayla Nereo songs and explored the forest together.

Women looking for photos in the Denver area: the rivers are still flowing and ready to be frollicked in! I’ve been making my way to a creek or body of water at least once a week to enjoy the water before the seasons change. Because I cannot believe it’s already mid August. Sherri contacted me letting me know that she was changing career paths, changing her home base and her life! She told me about the importance of spiritual connection in her business and her life. She told me that the theme of her spiritual work and business is “your heart is safe in my hands.” We went to clear creek in Golden where Sherri used her singing chakra bowl to drop into a meditation and it was beautiful. From there, we walked around in the creek and chatted about her business. Her peaceful energy and confidence in herself was inspiring to witness. I love being able to help empower women in their lives and in their work.

I showed up at McKinley's doorstep to her holding a miniature Australian Shepherd in her arm and holding back a larger dog, saying "Annah!!! Hi! Do you like dogs?" haha

From the moment I met her, she was so energetic and welcoming. It felt like we'd been friends for years! McKinley has such a warm personality. She is a hardworking woman who knows her values and I admire her so much for that. I aim to make photo sessions as empowering as they can be. It’s important to feel confident in your body and know your worth. Even if the photos are for updated career headshots, it’s important for that confidence to come through.

. McKinley is indigenous and advocates for the rights of women as well as indigenous people at protests and rallies when she has free time. After spending a little time with McKinley for these photos, I knew we would see each other again as friends soon. I’m so grateful for our connection. I’m inspired by McKinley’s success in her career and even more, I’m inspired by her beliefs and the strong voice she uses to speak them.

Mary texted me a photo of her staircase and said “Look how nice the light is!!! Can you come over and take pictures of me?”

Mary and I are always looking for inspiration to take new photos and use the body as art. She really wanted to incorporate something different this time. She wasn’t sure what until I suggested water and her face lit up. These photos show our thought process for this lovely concept.

I’m so grateful to have Mary as a friend. She is vulnerable, emotional and so kind and passionate about life and her art.
