Colorado Engagement Photographer - Silverthorne, Colorado Proposal

Colorado Engagement Photographer - Silverthorne, Colorado Proposal

Christian and Monica came up to Colorado from Texas for a long weekend with some of their closest friends and family. Christian contacted me before the trip so we could plan logistics and be as stealthy as possible. He told Monica that everyone had pitched in for a photographer to get group photos at Sapphire Point in Silverthorne. So I met everyone on a snowy afternoon to take the photos. Christian and I had decided on a prompt that would get them into the proposal pose and Monica seemed surprised enough! Her disbelief and emotion was special to see unfold. One of the best parts about being a photographer is getting to see how much love people have for one another in such a short amount of time. And to witness this incredible moment!! I am so grateful to have this career as a documenter, memory preserver and to help my clients feel comfortable and cared for.

Colorado Engagement Photographer - Clinton Gulch Dam Surprise Proposal

Andie and I met in Illinois when we were 12 or 13. We did club gymnastics together for a few seasons, then we went off to different high schools and didn’t keep really keep in touch. At least 5 years later, Andie and I both end up in the Denver area of Colorado. We got dinner together and instantly reconnected like we had never stopped being friends. Andie is one of those people who makes you feel 10x better than you already did after spending time with her. She has amazing advice, insight and is such a supportive friend.

Our lives have changed drastically since we reconnected in Colorado last year, and now she’s engaged!!! Andie and Kevin met through mutual friends in Denver, but realized they had mutual friends in college too. So they’ve been in close proximity to each other off and on for a few years and finally connected in Colorado. I met Kevin once awhile ago at Andie’s birthday party and he was just as great as she was. We had great conversation for a few hours at that party. Five months later, I got a text from Kevin asking if we could talk on the phone sometime and told me he was planning to propose! And the next few weeks, we secretly planned everything out.

November 6th was the day! I got to the reservoir early, made friends with some fishermen, then hid near a tree and waited for Kevin and Andie. There was snow on the ground but the sun was so warm that I was wearing a t-shirt! Andie and Kevin walked around near the water, and Kevin had previously drawn a picture of the lookout he was going to propose at. So when they got to the lookout spot, Kevin showed Andie his drawing that included a sketch of himself down on one knee. Watching this unfold was so emotional and I loved it all.

There are no coincidences. Andie and I both ending up in Denver at this time of our lives was meant to be. I’m so grateful for friends like her that I’ve been able to effortlessly reconnect with and make amazing memories together.

Andrew and Estelle- Rocky Mountain Sky Pond Proposal Photographer

Andrew & Estelle - Rocky Mountain Sky Pond Proposal Photographer

I’ve only known Andrew and Estelle for about 4 months, but they are already 2 of my closest friends. They’re both such kind people. Estelle is always paying attention to details for organizing things for our big friend group and being such a good host whenever we go to hers and Andrew’s house. She lets me borrow her clothes all the time and is the best about remembering things to do for other people when they ask her for a favor. Andrew has the best energy to be around. Literally always smiling, down for any adventure and always the life of the friend group. So obviously when we all woke up early on a Saturday, Andrew was the first one up at 3:30 am to start our adventure. Our group of 9 people hiked the 11 miles to Sky Pond to see our friends get engaged! All I feel is love and gratitude for all of these beautiful people. This location was perfect for a proposal. Afterwards, we had lunch and drank some champagne together. Andrew and Estelle have been together for 8 years and I’m so happy they’re finally officially getting married.
